We collect the following personal data when you use our service:

• Account information: Your name, email address, and hashed password when you register.
• Resume data: All content you enter into the resume builder, including work history, education, skills, and contact details.
• Usage data: Pages visited, actions taken within the app, and basic technical data (browser type, IP address) for security and debugging purposes.
• Payment information: If you upgrade to Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the resume builder service
• To process AI enhancement requests (your resume content is sent to our AI API provider)
• To send important account emails (password resets, billing receipts)
• To diagnose bugs and improve performance

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. AI Processing

When you use the AI enhancement feature, the resume content you submit is sent to a third-party AI API to generate improved text. This data is used only to generate your response and is not stored by the AI provider for training purposes under our agreement.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Hostinger. Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS throughout the service.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account Settings. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@resumelanded.com.

8. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

9. Third-Party Services

• Hostinger — web hosting and database storage
• Stripe — payment processing (Pro plan)
• Groq / AI API — AI text generation for resume enhancement
• Google Fonts — font delivery (no tracking)

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of any significant changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
